School Closure Support
COVID-19 School reopening additions to Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy at Rosewood School
Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope that everyone is coping during these impossibly difficult times. I know I am struggling to make sense of this new world but please be assured that the well being of everyone connected with Rosewood is at the forefront of my mind.
At the moment school is shut to pupils because we think that children are safer at home at the moment. As soon as I can be assured of everyone's safety I will start to open the school to pupils.
As regards free school meals I hope this situation can be sorted very quickly. I know there was some confusion about the safeguarding telephone number, for which I apologise, but I think this is sorted now.
If you do have any safeguarding concerns or indeed any concerns at all, please do not hesitate to call this number and we will do our very best to help.
I shall be updating the website as often as I can and you will see we have put quite a few links to work and information that I hope you will find helpful.
This situation cannot last forever and I really hope we can get back to normal soon. School is not the same anymore and I am missing the lads believe it or not!
Again, if there is any help we can give, please call the safeguarding telephone number.
Free School Meals Update to Parents/Carers: 6th April 2020
Many of you will have heard that over the weekend the Government have done a U turn and agreed to supply Free School Meal vouchers during the Easter holidays.
The school has applied for vouchers but are still waiting for them to arrive from the central supplier. We are expecting that they will be here by the end of this week and will send them out or email them to you as soon as they arrive.
In the meantime if any families are in real crisis and have no other support from family or friends, then they can ring the Dudley Council for Voluntary Services helpline on 01384 573381
